Title: AmeriCorps State and National (ASN) Updates
Abstract:

This final rule will update the May 2024 final rule (under the same RIN) to add flexibility to the number of terms an ASN member can serve with AmeriCorps-funded benefits. The term limits were one aspect of the May 2024 final rule, which removed the four-term limit on service in ASN programs and clarified the number of terms for which AmeriCorps will fund member benefits. Other aspects of the May 2024 final were that it established programmatic and grantmaking flexibilities, including limiting ASN grantees' required share of program costs to a scale that increases more incrementally than the past scale, simplifying criteria to waive the required match, and allowing waivers of education hour limitations under certain circumstances to permit members serving with ASN grantees to spend an increased number of hours on education and training.
