| Title: ●Rescission of 1979 Interpretive Rule "Affirmative Action Appropriate Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964" | |
|
Abstract:
The EEOC proposes to rescind an interpretive rule, its 1979 guidelines constituting its interpretation of the use of Affirmative Action programs. The Commission is rescinding the guidelines and removing them from the Code of Federal Regulations because they are inconsistent with case law and other legal developments since their issuance in 1979. |
