Title: ●Rescission of Appendix to Guidelines on Discrimination Because of Sex  
Abstract:

The EEOC is rescinding the appendix to its Guidelines on Discrimination Because of Sex.  The appendix was written in 1979, shortly after passage of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) and predates the 2022 Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), which requires workplace accommodations related to pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions.  The appendix, interpreting the PDA, is in several respects outdated.
