Abstract:
This proceeding was initiated to introduce a number of improvements to the AM radio service. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) proposed specific technical proposals and rule revisions. In addition, the NPRM solicited ideas for improving the quality of the AM radio service. The R&O adopted technical changes and established procedures to enable AM stations to obtain an FM translator license under certain conditions. |
