Abstract:

The FDIC is rescinding and removing its regulations implementing the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program, codified at 12 CFR part 370, and the unlimited deposit insurance coverage for noninterest-bearing transaction accounts provided by section 343 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, codified at 12 CFR 330.16, and related definitions. These programs have expired by their terms and the regulations implementing them are unnecessary and obsolete.
