Title: ●Inflation Adjustment of Civil Monetary Penalties 
Abstract:

This rule implements the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015 (2015 Act).  The rule adjusts the maximum amount of each statutory civil penalty subject to Federal Maritime Commission (Commission) jurisdiction for inflation, in accordance with the requirements of that Act.  The 2015 Act requires that agencies public a catch-up adjustment in the penalties in an interim rule by July 1, 2016, and that agencies adjust penalties yearly thereafter.
