The Commission is undertaking updates to its organization, procedures, and rules of practice, including to (1) more accurately reflect the organization of the agency and its components; (2) delegate certain authorities to specified FTC officials; (3) update OMB control numbers for the Commission’s information collection requirements; (4) update procedures for second requests relating to premerger notification filings, Administrative Law Judge assignments, and motions seeking disqualification of Commissioners; (5) update procedures for rulemaking proceedings, in light of recent court decisions and procedural issues that caused confusion in the Commission’s recent rulemaking proceedings; and (6) correct inadvertent errors and omissions.
