Title: ●Unfair or Deceptive Fees Trade Regulation Rule 
Abstract:

On March 13, 2026, the Commission issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking to expand the current Rule to address certain deceptive or unfair acts or practices relating to fees in the rental housing market. 91 FR 12325 (Mar. 13, 2026). The Commission solicits written comment, data, and argument concerning the need for such a rulemaking to prevent persons, entities, and organizations from imposing such fees on consumers.
