| Title: Minority Depository Institution Preservation Program | |
|
Abstract:
NCUA finalized this Interpretive Ruling and Policy Statement (IRPS) establishing a Minority Depository Institution Preservation Program that recognizes the importance of minority credit unions and the unique challenges they face in serving their communities. To meet the requirements of section 367 of the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, the IRPS implements an outreach program designed to preserve and encourage minority ownership in the credit union industry. This IRPS also adopts a policy statement, definition of minority depository institution for credit unions, and types of technical assistance available. |
