Title: Public Unit and Nonmember Shares 
Abstract:

The NCUA Board issued a final rule to amend the NCUA’s public unit and nonmember share rule, section 701.32, to allow federal credit unions to receive public unit and nonmember shares up to 50 percent of the credit union’s total shares. Section 701.204 of the NCUA’s regulations applies the NCUA’s public unit and nonmember share rule to all federally insured credit unions.
