| Abstract: The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is considering revising its fees regulation. Currently fees are calculated on the calendar year. The Commission is considering calculating fees on each tribe's fiscal year and to require quarterly fee payments instead of yearly payments. Additionally, the Commission is considering implementing a late payment system in lieu of a Notice of Violation (NOV) for late submissions of fees. Finally, the Commission is considering revising the rule to ensure fingerprint fees reflect the cost of fingerprint processing by providing for the annual review and adjustment of fees. | |
