Title: ●Repeal Review and Approval of Pre-Existing Ordinances or Resolutions
Abstract: The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is considering a rulemaking to repeal the review and approval of gaming ordinances enacted by tribes prior to January 22, 1993, and not submitted to the Chair. 25 CFR part 523. This regulation applies only to ordinances established prior to the existence of the Commission. Thus, there may no longer be any such ordinances and therefore no further need for this regulation.
