Abstract:

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) plans to revise 49 CFR part 803, which contains regulations concerning use of the NTSB’s official seal on records and items. The NTSB’s proposed revisions will update various terms and other outdated information. Because the NTSB anticipates making minor nonsubstantive edits to outdated information, the agency has decided to forego notice and comment procedures and issue a Final Rule. In the interest of economy and efficiency, the NTSB has merged this RIN (AA09) and RIN 3147-AA08 into RIN 3147-AA03, and decided to issue a single Final Rule making similar minor edits to parts 800, 803, and 804. See RIN 3147-AA03 for all future activities related to minor edits to those parts.
