Title: Advance Notification to Native American Tribes of Transportation of Certain Types of Nuclear Waste [NRC-1999-0005] 
Abstract: The proposed rule would amend the Commission's regulations that govern packaging and transportation of radioactive material and physical protection of plants and materials. Specifically, the proposed amendments would require licensees to provide advance notification to Federally recognized Tribal governments regarding shipments of irradiated reactor fuel and certain nuclear wastes for any shipment that passes within or across their reservations. The Tribal government would be required to protect the shipment information as Safeguards Information.
