| Title: Prompt Remediation of Residual Radioactivity During Operations [NRC-2011-0162] | |
|
Abstract:
The proposed rule would amend the Commission's regulations for the Decommissioning Planning Rule (DPR). This rulemaking would revise the methods for decommissioning a facility by addressing remediation of residual radioactivity at licensed facilities during the operational phase of the facility. On December 20, 2013, the Commission directed the staff to collect 2 years of additional data from the implementation of the Decommissioning Planning Rule before deciding whether to proceed with the rulemaking.
