Title: Containment Protection and Release Reduction for Boiling Water Reactors With Mark I and Mark II Containments [NRC-2013-0075]
Abstract:

The NRC staff is preparing a regulatory basis for a proposed rule that would amend the Commission's regulations in part 50, to provide a performance based option for containment protection and release reduction of Boiling Water Reactors with Mark I and Mark II containments. The proposed rule would define performance based requirements to enhance containment protection and release reduction of radioactive material following severe accident sequences at Boiling Water Reactors with Mark I and Mark II containments.
