Title: List of Approved Spent Fuel Casks--Holtec HI-STORM Umax Canister Storage System, Certificate of Compliance No. 1040, Amendment 1 [NRC-2015-0067]  
Abstract:

The rulemaking is to add amendment No. 1  to Certificate of Compliance, No. 1040, the Holtec International Hi-STORM Umax Canister Storage System, to the "List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks," 10 C.F.R. 72.214.  The proposed changes would 1) add a hold-down system to the closure lid, 2) replaces the fill material interstitial space between the cavity enclosure container with plain concrete, and 3) strengthens of the multi-purpose canister guides.
