| Title: Cost-Benefit Analysis for Power Reactor Radwaste Systems [NRC-2022-0048] | |
|
Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the NRC’s regulations in Appendix I to 10 CFR part 50 for nuclear power reactors. The rulemaking would replace the requirement to use a dollar value of $1,000 per person-rem for cost-benefit evaluations with a requirement to calculate and use an updated dollar per person-rem conversion factor. This factor is used in developing cost benefit analyses to determine the monetary valuation of the consequences associated with radiological exposure for nuclear reactor radwaste systems. |
