Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the NRC’s regulations to revise the agency's rules of practice and procedure related to contested hearings. The purpose of this rule is to streamline and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of contested adjudications in licensing proceedings in response to the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile, Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy Act of 2024 and the May 23, 2025, Executive Order 14300, Ordering the Reform of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. |
