Abstract: In November 2024, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Bureau) published a final rule pursuant to section 1033 of the Consumer Financial Protection Act. The final rule became effective on January 17, 2025. The Bureau plans to take the rulemaking steps necessary and appropriate to reconsider the November 2024 final rule.
