Title: ●Loan Originator Compensation Requirements Under the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z)
Abstract:

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Bureau’s) 2013 Loan Originator Compensation final rule implemented, clarified, and provided exceptions to requirements and restrictions imposed by the Dodd-Frank Act concerning loan originator compensation. The Bureau is considering whether changes to the regulation could encourage competition in the mortgage origination market. The rule may limit some practices that could result in lower costs and increased market competition. The CFPB is weighing the costs and benefits of the current rule’s limiting effects on price competition.
