| Title: Absence and Leave; Sick Leave | |
| Abstract: We are issuing as final the sick leave portions of the proposed regulations (74 FR 43064) issued on August 26, 2009. The NDAA for FY 2010 (Pub. L. 111-84, Oct. 28, 2009) made additional amendments to the FMLA provisions in 5 U.S.C. 6381-6383 which make it impossible for us to issue the FMLA portions of the proposed regulations as final at this time. Since the NDAA made no changes to the sick leave portion of the regulations, we will be issuing as final the sick leave portions of this package. (We will issue a new proposed regulation implementing the statutory changes to the FMLA program at a later time.) | |
