Title: General Schedule Locality Pay Areas 
Abstract: The U.S. Office of Personnel Management issued final regulations to assist the Department of Defense in merging McGuire Air Force Base and Fort Dix, NJ, in the Philadelphia locality pay area with the Lakehurst Naval Station, NJ, in the New York locality pay area. As a joint base, the facility met the criteria for the entire joint base to be included in the New York locality pay area. The regulation was necessary to effect the change in locality pay area boundaries and avoid recruitment/retention/pay administration problems that would result if different pay rates applied within the single installation.
