Title: Intergovernmental Personnel Act Assignments
Abstract:

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) plans to amend 5 CFR part 334 to remove the requirement that State, local, or Indian tribal government, higher education employees, or employees of other eligible organizations be employed by their parent organization in a career position for at least 90 days to be eligible for federal assignment under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act. The final rule will provide agencies greater flexibility in using the IPA, providing agencies with expanded options for filling urgent needs for skilled or expert employees.
