| Title: ●Exempting Certain Career Federal Employees from Ethics Reporting Requirements | |
|
Abstract:
The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is amending its regulation to ensure that most Schedule Policy/Career employees are excluded from filing public financial disclosure reports by rule. Requiring these employees to file public financial disclosure reports would be unnecessarily burdensome to both agency ethics staff and the employees and does not adversely affect the integrity of the Government or the public’s confidence in it. This rule is intended to preserve the filing status of each position that was transferred to Schedule Policy/Career as it existed prior to the position being transferred to Schedule Policy/Career. |
