| Title: ●Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs or Activities of SBA-Effectuation of the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as Amended | |
|
Abstract:
In response to Executive Order 14219, SBA has completed a page-by-page, line-by-line review of all of its existing regulations to determine which might be revised or eliminated. This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would amend SBA’s regulations governing nondiscrimination on the basis of age in its federally assisted programs. This action is necessary to eliminate redundant, unnecessary, and overly prescriptive provisions, thereby reducing regulatory complexity and aligning the regulations more closely with the Age Discrimination Act of 1975. The rule would enhance clarity and reduce administrative burdens for recipients of Federal financial assistance while maintaining core protections against age discrimination. |
