SBA RIN: 3245-AI42 Publication ID: 2026
Title: ●Rules of Procedure Governing Cases Before the Office of Hearings and Appeals
Abstract:

In response to Executive Order 14219, SBA has completed a page-by-page, line-by-line review of all of its existing regulations to determine which might be revised or eliminated. SBA proposes to amend its regulations governing the rules of practice for proceedings before its Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA). It would, among other things, remove the use of facsimile throughout the Part 134, specifically allow the use of commercial delivery services, align the response time for debt collection cases with other cases before OHA, streamline the hearing process by eliminating unnecessary requirements, allow for fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act, update obsolete position titles, and reduce the service requirements for employees challenging agency action.
