Title: ●Enforcement of Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Handicap in Programs or Activities Conducted by the Small Business Administration
Abstract:

In response to Executive Order 14219, SBA has completed a page-by-page, line-by-line review of all of its existing regulations to determine which might be revised or eliminated. This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would amend SBA’s regulations governing nondiscrimination on the basis of disability in its programs and activities. This proposed rule would eliminate outdated, redundant, and unnecessarily prescriptive provisions and modernize terminology. This action is necessary to streamline the regulations, reduce regulatory complexity, and ensure the rules are clearly aligned with their underlying statutory authority. The rule would provide clarity for the public without altering substantive protections for individuals with disabilities.
