| Title: ●Record Disclosure and Privacy | |
|
Abstract:
In response to Executive Order 14219, SBA has completed a page-by-page, line-by-line review of all of its existing regulations to determine which might be revised or eliminated. This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would amend SBA’s regulations regarding records disclosure pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act and SBA’s regulations regarding all records maintained, collected, used, or disseminated pertaining to individuals pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974. This action is necessary to eliminate unnecessary provisions, remove language inconsistent with statutory authority, and streamline compliance procedures. The rule would reduce regulatory burden and provide clarity for recipients of financial assistance. |
