Title: FAR Case 2001-014, Contractor Responsibility, Labor Relations Costs, and Costs Relating to Legal and Other Proceedings--Revocation 
Abstract: The Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council (FAR Council) published in the Federal Register (65 FR 80255) on December 20, 2000, a final rule addressing contractor responsibility and costs incurred in the legal and other proceedings. The FAR council reconsidered its position and published in the Federal Register (66 FR 17758) on April 3, 2001, a proposed rule with request for public comment revoking the December 20, 2000, final rule. An interim FAR rule (under FAR Case 1999-010, Contractor Responsibility, Labor Relations Cost, and Costs Relating to Legal and Other Proceedings) was published in the Federal Register (66 FR 17754) on April 3, 2001, which stayed the December 20, 2000, final rule. A final rule was published in the Federal Register (66 FR 66986) on December 27, 2001, that revoked the December 20, 2000, final rule. This regulatory action was not subject to Office of Management and Budget review under Executive Order 12866, dated September 30, 1993. This rule is not a major rule under 5 U.S.C. 804.
