Title: ●FAR Case 2008-005, Procurement Goal for Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions and Alaska Native-Serving Institutions 
Abstract: This rule amends the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement section 891 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008. Section 891 provides that Native Hawaiian-serving institutions (NHSIs) and Alaska Native-serving institutions (ANSIs) are to be treated in the same manner as historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), minority institutions (MIs), and Hispanic-serving institutions (HSIs) with regard to certain prime and subcontract small business award goals. This is not a significant regulatory action and, therefore, was not subject to review under section 6(b) of Executive Order 12866 "Regulatory Planning and Review," dated September 30, 1993. This rule is not a major rule under 5 U.S.C. 804.
