Title: ●FAR Case 2009-007, Equal Opportunity for Veterans 
Abstract: The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council are issuing an interim rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement Department of Labor (DoL) regulations on equal opportunity provisions for various categories of military veterans. This rule sets forth revised coverage and definitions of veterans covered under the Vietnam Era VeteransÂ’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1972 (VEVRAA) and includes new reporting requirements established under the VEVRAA and the Jobs for Veterans Act (JVA). This is a significant regulatory action and, therefore, is subject to review under section 6(b) of Executive Order 12866, Regulatory Planning and Review, dated September 30, 1993. This rule is not a major rule under 5 U.S.C. 804.
