| Abstract: DoD, GSA, and NASA are issuing a proposed rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to revise FAR 8.002, to clarify the order of priorities Federal agencies are to follow when acquiring supplies and services. The section is being updated to clearly distinguish mandatory Government sources of supplies and services from non-mandatory sources. The rule will require use of the mandatory source and encourage use of the non-mandatory sources. | |
