Abstract:

This is a final rule to amend the FAR to implement sections 805, 806, and 1702(a) of the NDAA for FY 2018.  Section 805 increases the micro-purchase threshold (MPT) to $10,000 and limits the use of convenience checks to not more than one half the MPT.  Section 806 increases the SAT to $250,000.  Section 1702(a) amends section 15(j)(1) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 644(j)(1)) to replace specific dollar thresholds with the terms micro-purchase threshold and simplified acquisition threshold.
