Abstract: PWBA plans to propose the removal from the Code of Federal Regulations certain regulations and interpretive bulletins under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) that have been determined to be obsolete and unnecessary. Many of these obsolete regulations and interpretive bulletins provided transitional rules to assist plan sponsors, plan administrators, and others subject to the requirements of title I of ERISA, in coming into compliance with ERISA's requirements following ERISA's enactment in 1974. | |
