Title: National Standard Health Care Provider Identifier (BDM-45-P)
Abstract: This rule would address the health care industry's need for a standardized provider identifier. It would implement one of the requirements for administrative simplification in section 262 of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
