Title: Mitigation of Impacts to Wetlands
Abstract: Revision to the existing rule will bring FHWA's wetland mitigation policies and requirements into full agreement with the provisions of ISTEA section 1007(b)(11) and section 1006(1)(13). In addition, the revised rule will reflect recent policy issued by the Corps of Engineers and EPA on wetland mitigation banking. FHWA internal policy development on wetland mitigation is also indicated by the proposed revision.
