Abstract: The Newborns' and Mothers' Health Protection Act of 1996 (NMHPA) was enacted on September 26, 1996 (PL 104-204). NMHPA provisions are set forth in title XXVII of the PHSA and part 7 of subtitle B of title I of ERISA. The interim rules will provide guidance with regard to the provisions of the NMHPA. | |
