Abstract: Amendment 12, as approved by NMFS on July 19, 2000, limits the harvest/possession of red porgy in the south Atlantic EEZ to incidental catch amounts; adds to the parameters that can be established/modified by the FMP's framework procedure for regulatory adjustments; establishes for red porgy the maximum sustainable yield, optimum yield, maximum fishing mortality threshold, and minimum stock size threshold; modifies the red porgy stock rebuilding plan; and modifies transfer provisions for trip-limited vessel permits. | |
