Title: Energy Efficiency Standards for Clothes Dryers and Dishwashers
Abstract: The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, establishes initial energy efficiency standard levels for many types of major residential appliances and generally requires DOE to undertake two subsequent rulemakings, at specified times, to determine whether the extant standard for a covered product should be amended. The Department is committed to becoming current on all energy standards rulemakings. This is the second review of the standards for clothes dryers and dishwashers.
