Title: Monthly Data Collection Requirements for Electricity Exports and Presidential Permits
Abstract: This rule would amend the electricity export and import data collection requirements in DOE's administrative regulations that pertain to the issuance of Presidential permits authorizing electric transmission facilities at the U.S. international border and orders authorizing electricity exports to a foreign country. The responsibility for the data collection has been transferred from DOE's Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE) to DOE's Energy Information Administration (EIA). The frequency of the reporting in the regulations is being changed from annual to monthly in order to be consistent with the data collection procedures now required by EIA's Form OE-781R, "Monthly Electricity Imports and Exports Report."
