Title: ●State Official Notification Rules
Abstract: The CFPB adopted its State Official Notification Rules as an interim final rule effective on July 28, 2011. The rules were issued pursuant to section 1042(b) and (c) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act), and govern the process by which state officials notify the CFPB of actions or proceedings undertaken under section 1042(a) of the Dodd-Frank Act. The CFPB invited comments on the interim final rule and anticipates finalizing the rule after consideration of the comments.
