Title: Sugar Program 
Abstract: This action is in pending status. The regulations in 7 CFR part 1435 for the Sugar Program are being modified to account for new provisions in the 2008 Farm Bill. The April 2009 final rule implemented general changes to the Sugar Program. The next final rule will add a Feedstock Flexibility Program for Bioenergy Producers to dispose of anticipated surplus sugar supply that would have otherwise been marketed for human consumption in the United States as described in the proposed rule published on October 19, 2011. (NOTE: The Feedstock Flexibility Program has not been required due to record high sugar prices.)
