Title: Clarification Regarding the Production of FBI Criminal Identification Records
Abstract: This rule would propose to amend the FBI's regulations to address the procedures an individual may use to obtain his or her criminal identification records and clarify who may receive the criminal identification records. In addition, this rule would address authority to accept alternative proofs of identity necessary to accompany such requests and allow the FBI to authorize additional methods of submitting requests and additional methods of payment. Finally, this rule would address the definition of "identification record."
