Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Designation of Critical Habitat for Short's Bladderpod, Whorled Sunflower, and Leavenworthia Crassa | |
Abstract: FWS designated critical habitat for three endangered plant species--whorled sunflower (Helianthus verticillatus), fleshy-fruit gladecress (Leavenworthia crassa), and short's bladderpod (Physaria globosa)--pursuant to the Endangered Species Act, as amended. Short's bladderpod occurs in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Whorled sunflower is known from Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, and the fleshy-fruit gladecress is found in Alabama. FWS listed these three species as a separate rulemaking action (see RIN 1018-AZ11). | |
