Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Siskiyou Mariposa Lily | |
Abstract:
Under the Endangered Species Act, we are required to designate critical habitat, to the maximum extent prudent and determinable, concurrent with a listing determination for a species. We are developing a listing determination for the Siskiyou mariposa lily species, currently a candidate species, as a separate rulemaking action (1018-BA60). The Siskiyou mariposa lily is found in shallow, dry, rocky, and acidic soils on ridge tops, rocky outcrops, and talus slopes in the area along the border of Klamath and Siskiyou Counties in the States of Oregon and California. |
