Title: Computer III Further Remand Proceedings: Bell Operating Company Provision of Enhances Services
Abstract: This Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) seeks comment on how the FCC should streamline or eliminate legacy regulations applicable to the Bell Operating Companies' (BOCs) provision of enhanced services. It seeks data on the changing market for narrowband and enhanced services and on the extent to which competitive enhanced services providers need access to the BOCs' basic network transmission services through open network architecture (ONA) and comparably efficient interconnection (CEI) offerings. The FNPRM proposes eliminating CEI and seeks comment on whether to retain only limited ONA requirements.
