Abstract:

In this proceeding, the Commission proposes to increase the methods available to broadcast-licensees to fulfil their obligation to disclose material terms of licensee conducted contests. In the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM),  the Commission proposes to amend 47 CFR 73.1216 to allow licensees to comply with their obligation to disclose material contest terms either by broadcasting the material terms or making such terms available in writing on a publicly accessible Internet Web site.
