Title: Transfers of Certain Source Materials by Specific Licensees [NRC-2002-0013] | |
Abstract:
The proposed rule would amend the Commission's regulations to require NRC approval for transfers from licensees of unimportant quantities of source material (less than 0.05 percent by weight) to persons exempt from licensing requirements. The objective of this proposed action is to ensure that the regulations regarding transfers of materials containing low concentrations of source material are adequate to protect public health and safety. A proposed rule was published for comment on August 28, 2002. Further action on this rulemaking was suspended in 2003. |
