Title: Establish an Interim 2016 Pacific Coast Tribal Pacific Whiting Allocation
Abstract: The National Marine Fisheries Service prepared and published its annual final rule for the tribal Pacific whiting (whiting) fishery off the coast of the state of Washington. The purpose of the action was to establish an interim 2016 tribal whiting allocation. The National Marine Fisheries Service developed this final rule after discussions with the affected tribes and in consideration of the non-tribal fisheries interests. As in prior years, this allocation was an "interim" allocation that is not intended to set precedent for future years. The allocation is similar to previous years.
